BIOGRAPHY
Anjan Chakraverty was awarded a Research Fellowship by the Nehru Trust and the Victoria & Albert Museum to study the Shikargah motif in the paintings and textiles of Mughal India.
PUBLICATIONS & MONOGRAPHS
He authored Indian Miniature Painting, Sacred Buddhist Painting, and the seminal monograph Ali Hasan: The Master Naqshaband of Banaras Brocades, released by the President of India.
CURATORIAL FOCUS
Extending the Biennale beyond exhibition-making into the histories, philosophical traditions, and forms of knowledge through which Banaras can be deeply understood.
A Biennale about living culture must make space not only for seeing, but for thinking. At Jnana Pravaha, research-led curatorial interpretation connects historical objects, manuscripts, and living philosophical enquiry, creating an intimate space for contemplative and critical dialogue.
